DECC organises job fairs in Budgam

Budgam, March 22: The district employment and counselling centre (DECC) Budgam has organized five job fairs in various areas of the Budgam district to address the issue of unemployment among the youth.
Over the past ten months, a total of 66 unemployed youths were selected on the spot during these job fairs.
According to an official from DECC Budgam, these job fairs were conducted between April 2023 and February 2024. The selected candidates from the Budgam district secured employment opportunities in various private companies.
Furthermore, between April 2022 and March 2023, four job fairs were organized in different locations of Budgam. During these events, 35 unemployed youth were immediately placed in different private companies.
The official also mentioned that the DECC is committed to providing training to unemployed youth, focusing on essential skills required by the private sector. This initiative aims to enhance their chances of securing employment and excelling in the private sector.
