Srinagar, Sep 17: An overwhelming participation marked by the Veterinarians in recently concluded elections for Jammu and Kashmir Veterinary Doctors Association (JKVDA-K) yielded more than 80% turn over.
Dr Riyaz Nazir Reshi and his team registered a landslide victory.
The elections were conducted through e-secret ballot by a commission headed by Dr Nisar Ah Khan Cheif Animal Husbandry Officer Anantnag.
Disclosing the results in an impressive function here, Dr Khan thanked all the members of the commission especially Dr Anwar Hussain Nagoo ( e-cell) for taking the elections to logical conclusion.
Speaking on the occasion, newly elected head of JKVDA-K Dr. Reshi assured for the all-round development of fraternity and restoration of glory of association.
“All inclusive approach will be adopted problems faced by veterinary doctors on multiple fronts besides frequent intra and inter deliberations with colleagues,” Dr Reshi said.
The other members elected are: Dr S.Abrar Hassan as Secretary; Dr Shabir A.Dar as Treasurer and Dr Zahid B.Khandey as Publicity Secretary.
Among others Dr Aftab A.Laway Dy Director central, Dr Shabir Ahmad Dy Director Poultry Dr Gh Rasool Dar Asst Director Vaccines were present on the occasion.
