Ayeera Chishti from J&K creates history by winning medal at World Junior Wushu Championship

Ayeera Chishti, a Wushu athlete from Jammu and Kashmir, has made the name of the country and the union territory famous by winning a bronze medal at the 8th World Junior Wushu Championship.

 

 

Taking to a micro blogging site Twitter, Office of LG wrote, “Proud moment for Jammu Kashmir! Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Ayeera.”

 

 

Meanwhile, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur in a tweet said, “Congratulations to Ayeera Chisti on becoming the first female athlete from J&K to win a 🥉at the 8th #WWC !

 

“Earlier she won 🥇for India at the #IWC in Georgia, along with many national-level medals.HHerstupendous achievement will motivate the girls from J&K and the nation”, he said
