Budgam, Mar 16: Senior CPI(M) leader and former MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Thursday visited the family of a 30-year-old lady in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, who was brutally murdered by a man a few days ago.
The CPIM leader visited the victim’s residence and offered condolences to the grief-stricken family. At this occasion, he urged police to ensure fast track investigation into the murder.
While condemning this inhuman act, the CPI(M) leader said such brutal acts in a civilized society are “unprecedented” as well as “alarming”.
He urged upon healthier voices to come forward and rake up the matter to ensure justice to the family. “Healtheir and credible voices should come forward and flag their voice for fast track proceedings of the case and exemplary punishment to the killer,” he said.
Tarigami said that law should ensure strict punishment to the killer so that such incidents will not happen in the future.
