A man sustained injuries in a bear attack in Ashtangoo village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday afternoon.
As per the details available with Rising Kashmir, the victim, identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Sheikh from Ashtangoo village, was working in his orchards when he was suddenly attacked by a wild bear.
Local sources confirmed that the man was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently shifted to the District Hospital Bandipora for further treatment.
