Kulgam Police finalizes security arrangements for upcoming G20 Summit

In preparation for upcoming G20 Summit to be held in Kashmir, Kulgam Police have kicked into high gear to ensure the safety and security for the mega event.

 

 

SSP Kulgam Sahil Sangrail directed officials to ensure eloborate security arrangements for G20 Summit 2023. 

 

 

A joint team of police officials kulgam, ASP National Highway shabir Ah Khan, Dysp headquarter kulgam, SDPO Mirbazar Sajad Hussain on Wednesday visited several places of district.

 

 

 

A Police official told The Rising Kashmir that frisking at various checkpoints of district has been implemented to prevent any unwanted elements from entering the area. 

 

 

He said that to further boster security measures, the police have directed shopkeepers to install CCTV cameras in their stores. This move will help deter criminal activity and provide valuable evidence in the event of a crime. 

 

 

Adding that, electronic shopkeepers have been made aware of the importance of keeping proper records of electronic equipment, such as phones, that they sell to customers. 

 

 

The police have also directed motor garages to only mend vehicles that have valid documentation and to keep proper records inorder to ensure elaborate safety arrangements. 

 

 

Furthermore, employees working in these garages have been instructed to register with the authorities. 

 

 

In another effort to maintain security, the police have directed fertilizer sellers to only sell products as prescribed. This move is aimed at preventing any potential misuse of fertilizers for illegal activities. 

 

 

Another police official said that the Kulgam police’s proactive measures demonstrate their commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for the G20 Summit. 

 

With these actions, they are sending a clear message that any illegal activities will not be tolerate  and the police will do everything in their power to maintain it.
