Ganderbal, Aug 03: The students of Government Higher Secondary School Kullan in the Gund area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have complained about the non-availability of the required teaching staff.
Some of the lecturers were recently transferred from the school, which has taken a heavy toll on the academic session of Arts students of 11th and 12th classes, the students said, adding that the school is also without a permanent principal since the transfer of the previous one.
“We are facing immense hardships due to the non-availability of the required teaching staff,” they said. The parents of many students also expressed concern over the education of their wards.
The students said the school presently has no lecturers for English, Political Science, Urdu, History and Economics subjects. “Our studies are getting affected,” they said and appealed to the Director School Education to look into the matter.
The Chief Education Officer Ganderbal did not respond to the repeated phone calls by this reporter.
