Two Women among three drug peddlers arrested in Sopore: Police

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday said that they have arrested three drug peddlers including two women in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

A Police spokesperson said, “Continuing its drive against drug peddlers, Police Party of Police Station Tarzoo headed by SHO Police Station Tarzoo arrested three drug peddlers at Sangrama Chowk.”

The arrested drug peddler have been identified as Abdul Latief Gojar S/O Noor Muhammad Gojar R/O Gandoo Tehsil and District Doda, Parveen Kaunsar D/O Meer Hussain R/O Sidra Byepass Jammu and Shabnam Begum D/O Muhammad Akbar Khan R/O Akherwani Wulutra Rafiabad.

He said that among three the two were walking towards Amargarh and one was walking in their opposite direction in a suspicious manner which was observed by the patrolling party, on seeing the Police they tried to flee but were apprehended by the alert cops alongwith a nylon bag.

During search of the bag Heroin like substance was recovered and immediately they were arrested and the case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police StationTarzoo.
