Srinagar, May 31: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday visited the residence of the late Mohammad Shafi Mir, the husband of Mrs Kulsuma Mir, PDP corporator ward 67 Tailbal.
According to a party statement, Mufti was accompanied by former minister Aasiya Naqash, Qayoom Bhat, Mohit Bhan, Arif Laigroo, Dr Ali Mohd, Mohd Sidiq Ali, Mohd Baba, Abdul Hameed, Mohd Yousuf Nissar, Ahmed Shafi Kundangar, Fayaz Reshi and others.
Mehbooba while condoling the demise of Mohammad Shafi Mir expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the members of the bereaved family. She said the deceased was a noble soul who earned the love and admiration of the people for his straightforwardness, sense of community service, innate simplicity and honesty. “He was a noble human being, polite, humble and has always remained social and helpful to the community and society in general,” she said.
The leaders prayed for peace to the departed soul and patience to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss.
