Srinagar, May 31: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday raided three locations of hybrid terrorists and OGWs linked with newly floated terrorist outfits in Jammu and Kashmir and seized incriminating literature, and digital devices from the spot.
Multiple teams of NIA carried out searches at the premises of suspects and OGWs in coordination with Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force.
NIA spokesman said the searches were conducted at three locations in the residential premises of sympathizers, cadres, hybrid terrorists, and OGWs linked with the newly-formed offshoots and affiliates of several proscribed Pakistan-backed terror outfits, including Laskhar-e-Toiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), AI-Badr, and AI-Qaeda.
“The day-long raids and searches were conducted in Srinagar and Budgam districts, as part of the ongoing NIA investigations into the activities of the recently formed terrorist groups,” he said.
The groups include The Resistance Front (TRF), United Liberation Front Jammu and Kashmir (ULFJ&K), Mujahideen Gazwat-ul-Hind (MGH), Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighters (JKFF), Kashmir Tigers and PAAF.
He said a total of 51 locations have been searched in recent days in connection with the terror conspiracy case (RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU), which was registered suo moto by NIA on  June 21, 2022.
“The case relates to the hatching of a conspiracy, both physical and virtual, and plans by proscribed terrorist organisations to unleash violent terrorist attacks in J&K with sticky bombs, IEDs, and small arms,” stated an NIA spokesman.
He claimed the plans are part of a larger conspiracy to carry out acts of terror and violence in J&K by radicalising local youth and mobilising over-ground workers in order to disrupt peace and communal harmony.
According to an NIA spokesman, cadres and workers of the newly formed organisations were found to be involved in the collecting and distribution of sticky and magnetic explosives, IEDs, cash, narcotic drugs, and weaponry and ammunition.
“Investigations have further revealed that Pak-based operatives are using drones to deliver arms and ammunitions, explosives, narcotics, etc. to their operatives and cadres in the Kashmir valley. These operatives are using social media to connect with the cadres and workers in India,” the spokesman said.
On May 21, NIA, Srinagar raided multiple locations in nine districts of Jammu and Kashmir in connection with various terror funding cases under investigation by the agency.
The extensive searches were conducted in Srinagar, Budgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Awantipora, Anantnag, Handwara, Kupwara and Poonch districts.
