Srinagar, May 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday announced summer vacations for all Government and Private Colleges falling under the Summer Zone of Jammu Division from June 1 to July 15, 2026.

The Minister for Education, Higher Education, Health and Medical Education, and Social Welfare, shared the information through an official post on X, stating that the decision has been taken in view of the prevailing summer season and to ensure the well being of students, teaching faculty and non teaching staff.

As per the announcement, all colleges in the Summer Zone of Jammu Division will remain closed during the vacation period, while regular academic activities will resume after July 15.

The Minister also conveyed her best wishes to students, teachers and college staff for a safe, healthy and productive summer break.

The move comes amid rising temperatures in several parts of Jammu Division, bringing relief to students and employees of educational institutions.
