4th District Srinagar Yogasana Sports Championship concludes

Srinagar, Oct 07: The fourth district Srinagar Yogasana Sports Championship organized by the district Srinagar Yogasana Sports Association under the banner of J&K Yogasana Sports Association and sponsored by J&K Sports Council concluded on Saturday at Sheri Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex Srinagar.
The championship was organized and played in sub-junior, Junior, and Senior both boys/girls and men/women categories.
A large number of spectators witnessed the championship with great enthusiasm.
Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, Chief Accounts Officer J&K Sports Council was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony. He gave away prizes to the best-performing players and also encouraged others to take up Yogasana sports for physical and mental well-being.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Zaffar said “Yogasana sports are not just a form of exercise; it is a way of life that promotes physical fitness, mental balance, and spiritual growth”.
He also added, “Whatever field we come from, I believe in the holistic benefits of yoga, and that is why J&K Sports Council is proud to support and promote Yogasana sports as a platform for individuals to showcase their talent and passion”.
The Secretary of District Srinagar Yogasana Sports Association Altaf Ahmad Bhat, along with other office bearers of the district association played a very important role in the smooth conduct of the championship.
Among others present on the occasion included, Advocate Shahnaz Durani, Dr. Imran Nazir Member JKYSA, Hilal Ahmad Manager SKISC, Aijaz Ahmad Khan, and Atif Khan from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The athletes, Bilal Ahmad Dar, Saqib Rafiq, and Toiba were declared the best players of the champions.
