Srinagar, Oct 21: Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Director General (CID), RR Swain on Saturday said that blood is a gift from nature which cannot be manufactured by people.
Talking to reporters on the side-lines of Police Commemoration Day at Armed Police Complex Zewan outskirts in Srinagar.
He said just like we share our feelings with each other, we should also share our blood by donating it. Donating blood can save someone’s life, and it is a great thing to do.
Swain urged that just as people readily share intangible emotions like joy and sorrow with each other, they should also extend this principle to tangible acts of kindness, such as donating blood.
He said profound satisfaction comes from donating blood, knowing that it has the potential to save another person’s life.
During the event a blood donation camp was organized, with 200 police personnel coming forward to donate blood. This act of kindness serves as a fitting tribute to the memory of our fallen heroes.
