Srinagar, 25 May: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Monday welcomed the government’s decision to grant Special Casual Leave to its Muslim employees on May 29 on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
In a statement, party’s State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar said that the government decision reflects respect for the religious sentiments and cultural traditions of the people, particularly government employees who will now be able to celebrate the sacred festival with their families in a dignified and peaceful manner.
Imran said that Eid-ul-Azha is a festival of sacrifice, compassion, and togetherness, and such considerate measures by the administration help strengthen the spirit of harmony and inclusiveness in society.
He expressed hope that the festival would usher in peace, prosperity and happiness for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
