Srinagar, Dec 12: Bollywood heartthrob John Abraham, currently gracing Kashmir for the shooting of his upcoming movie ‘Vedaa,’ has not only immersed himself in the cultural richness of the valley but has also become an advocate for responsible tourism.
Clad in traditional Kashmiri attire, the actor took a moment from his busy schedule in Anantnag district to express his admiration for the region’s unparalleled beauty.
In a heartfelt video message, Abraham urged people not only to visit Kashmir for film shoots but to explore its genuine splendour as tourists.
In the video, he lauded the warmth and hospitality of the Kashmiri people, describing them as fantastic and expressing his joy at collaborating with them on the movie. “They want to work happily,” he remarked, emphasizing the genuine smiles and love he has encountered.
Beyond the glamour of the film industry, John Abraham extended a sincere plea for environmental responsibility. He urged visitors to refrain from polluting the valley and to keep it pristine, specifically addressing the issue of plastic waste. “This place is beautiful, and we must keep it clean,” he stressed passionately.
‘Veda,’ directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment, marks the second collaboration between Abraham and Advani after the success of ‘Batla House.’
Kashmir’s resurgence as a preferred filming location for Bollywood has seen over 200 shoots in the last year alone, including projects by iconic figures like Shah Rukh Khan.
The government’s film policy and streamlined one-window approvals have further catalyzed this cinematic revival in the region.
As the reel world meets the real charm of Kashmir, John Abraham’s positive message resonates, inviting filmmakers and tourists to experience this breathtaking destination’s timeless allure.
Kashmir’s hospitality wins John Abraham’s heart
