Ganderbal, Aug 27: The Civil Society of Gund Tehsil convened its first meeting on Sunday at Shah Hamdan Public School, with participation from various members of the society, including its Chairman, Irfan Raina.
During the meeting, attendees extensively deliberated on the prevailing lack of fundamental amenities within the Tehsil. Chairman Irfan Raina pledged to elevate these critical issues to the attention of higher authorities.
Key points of discussion included the urgent need for a Degree College, staffing concerns at Higher Secondary Kullan Gund, the establishment of a blood bank at PHC Gund, and advancements required at PHC Kullan. Numerous other developmental initiatives were also addressed.
This gathering marked the first meeting of the newly formed Civil Society for Gund Tehsil, boasting a significant turnout of concerned individuals.
Addressing the assembly, Chairman Irfan Raina underscored the central objective of the Civil Society’s creation – to spotlight the scarcity of essential services in the region before administrative bodies. Raina emphasized that this effort aims to alleviate difficulties faced by the inhabitants of this remote locality.
