Bandipora, Aug 30: An all-rounder cricketer from North Kashmir’s Bandipora district has secured a coveted spot at the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) National Cricket Academy (NCA) camp in Bangalore which brings together the nation’s top all-rounders under the guidance of NCA’s esteemed coaching staff.
Hailing from Gundqaiser village, Nasir has been performing outstandingly in last year’s U-25 tournaments and has been consistently showcasing his skills with both bat and ball.
As per the details available with Rising Kashmir Nasir is the sole representative from J&K at this elite camp along with other seven cricketers who have also been called-up across india.
Having previously participated in multiple IPL trial camps, Nasir has earned a reputation for his well-rounded cricketing abilities, making his call-up for this camp a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir, Nasir said that he views this camp as a golden opportunity to learn from the best and further refine his skills. “It’s a dream come true for me. I’ve dedicated extensive effort to hone my game, and I believe this experience will unlock new avenues in my cricketing journey”, he said.
Notably NCA, under the stewardship of former cricketing legend VVS Laxman, is conducting this camp with the aim of identifying and nurturing emerging all-rounders who can contribute to Team India’s success.
