Ganderbal, Oct 27: In a proactive move to engage with the local populace and address their concerns, Commissioner Secretary of Food Civil Services and Consumer Affairs, Zubair Ahmed, conducted a public darbar at the Mini Secretariat in Ganderbal on Friday.
The event, known as the “Public Darbar,” was part of the government’s ongoing efforts to establish direct communication with the public and enhance the efficient delivery of public services.
Prominent citizens and representatives of various local bodies, including DDC members and councilors, gathered at the Mini Secretariat to participate in this important dialogue. Notable attendees included DDC Vice Chairperson Bilal Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shyambir Singh, and heads of various government departments such as Revenue, Power, Health, Education, Public Works, FCS &CA, Agriculture, and related fields, all present to address specific concerns relevant to their domains.

During the public darbar, PRI (Panchayati Raj Institution) representatives highlighted several pressing issues and developmental challenges faced by their respective areas. Concerns ranged from the availability of CT scan facilities at the district hospital to the maintenance of transformer buffer stocks and the elimination of encroachments in town areas, among other public matters.

Commissioner Secretary Zubair Ahmed emphasized the significance of public outreach camps like this, highlighting their role as a vital platform for citizens to voice their grievances and seek resolutions from the government. He reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare and development of the people, assuring them of continued support and protection.

The “Public Darbar” in Ganderbal stands as a testament to the government’s dedication to fostering direct communication with the public and ensuring that their concerns are promptly addressed, furthering the cause of development and public welfare in the region.
