Srinagar, Dec 01: Jammu and Kashmir (JKASS ) Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian’s youth wing and blood donors’ bank organised a blood donation camp in collaboration with District Hospital Budgam.
The blood donation was organised in the memory of Late Aga Syed Muhammad Hussain Mosavi Al-Safavi. Around 100 generous blood donors including females participated in the camp.
While inaugurating the camp, resident representative of President Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi on Interfaith Dialogue, Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi said, “This camp reminds us of our collective responsibility towards our society and we should discharge our collective responsibilities so that we can bring change and meaning in fellow human being’s life.”
Interacting with the students and Abna Anjuman’s volunteers, Aga Muntazir said World AIDS Day is also being observed and December 1 brings together people from around the world to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and demonstrate international solidarity in the face of the pandemic.
“This day is an opportunity for public and private partners to spread awareness about the status of the pandemic and encourage progress in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care around the world,” he said.
Aga thanked the volunteers of Abna Anjuman including Zahoor Baba, Anees Hussain, Mujataba Hussain, Muzamil Hussain, Imtiyaz Hussain, Irfan Hussain and others for making the blood donation camp and AIDS awareness camp successful.
