Srinagar, Jun 14: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir General Secretary (Organisation), Ashok Koul, addressed professional meets as part of the ongoing nationwide campaign ‘Viksit Bharat Ka Amritkaal – Sewa, Sushasan, Gareeb Kalyan Ke 11 Saal’, in Charar-i-Sharief, Budgam and Palpora, Srinagar, emphasising the achievements of the Modi-led government over the last 11 years.
The events were organised by BJP leaders Zahid Jan and Ghulam Nabi Palpori to mark more than a decade of good governance, welfare-driven policies, and inclusive development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a statement issued here said.
Prominent BJP leaders, including Budgam District President Hakeem Ruhullah Ghazi, Senior Leader Ashok Bhat, Bhat Imtiyaz, Asif Khan, and Riyaz Wani, were also present and actively engaged with professionals from various fields.
While addressing the meeting, Ashok Koul highlighted the pro-poor and pro-development schemes launched during the past decade, asserting that these initiatives have directly empowered the poor, marginalised, and vulnerable populations across the country. “From Jan Dhan Yojana and Ujjwala Yojana to Ayushman Bharat and PM Awas Yojana, the Modi government has established a citizen-first approach that focuses on transparency, accountability, and last-mile delivery,” he said.
The BJP leader added, “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India has entered a new era of governance rooted in service and reform. The dream of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) is steadily becoming a reality, with every sector witnessing rapid progress and citizens becoming active participants in the nation’s growth story.”
Following the meeting, Koul visited the holy shrine of Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani at Charar-e-Sharief, where he offered prayers for peace, communal harmony, and the prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
