Srinagar, May 25: Mehraj Malik, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu & Kashmir President and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Doda, visited areas affected by heavy shelling in Rajouri, Poonch, Uri and Kupwara on Sunday. Interacting with affected residents and wounded persons at local hospitals, the MLA expressed solidarity with them.
According to a party statement issued here, Malik met with residents of Rajouri and Poonch districts affected by cross-border shelling from Pakistan, listened to their issues and assured them that their concerns regarding relief, rehabilitation and other demands would be raised in the J&K Assembly and Parliament through AAP members of Parliament.
He also visited the Government Medical College Rajouri, where he met with injured patients, inquired about their health, reviewed the medical care being provided, and wished them a speedy recovery. Malik also visited shelling-affected areas in Uri and Kupwara and interacted with residents and victims.
