Jammu, Oct 01: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office Jammu, on Sunday undertook a massive cleanliness drive in partnership with the Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC).
The event saw the Regional P F Commissioner, Rizwan Uddin, along with team EPFO, ride bicycles from the EPFO, Jammu to the JKSRTC Bus Depot, Railway Road, Jammu, to support the causes of “Health and Environment.” The initiative was aimed at promoting the habit of cleanliness amongst the public, to create positive vibes and better productivity in workplaces.
The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Vivek, Depot Manager, Ajit Kumar Mishra, Regional P F Commissioner-II, Jammu, and other officers and officials of EPFO, Jammu, and JKSRTC. There was also a mega cleanliness drive campaign “Swachhata Hi Sewa Abhiyan” which saw the EPFO Regional Office, Jammu, undertake a grievance redressal initiative during the “Swachhata Pakhwada”.
Under this initiative, grievances were personally heard and necessary directions provided for their immediate and quick disposal. Rizwan Uddin, Regional P F Commissioner – I, resolved several cases, including the one related to Santosh Devi’s pending pension status and updating of missing details of a few employees of M/s Pharose Remedies Ltd. The drive also saw digital certificates provided to several individuals, and other claims were facilitated during the campaign.
Rizwan Uddin, RPFC-I, assured all stakeholders that their grievances/issues would be heard on a day-to-day basis. He urged all stakeholders, including members and employers, to visit the office for quick disposal of grievances and registration of any problems related to the EPFO. The EPFO Regional Office – Jammu is operating in flexi hours to offload the work related to claims by capitalising on system speed. EPFO is servicing the entire area from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh with regard to settlement of claims, redressal of grievances, and facilitating stakeholders.
To ensure service delivery at the doorstep, various online initiatives of EPFO, such as balance enquiry, filing of online claims, including transfer, advance claims, and member’s basic details, are available for use by the PF members. The cleanliness drive, along with the Swachhata Hi Sewa Abhiyan initiative, was aimed at creating awareness and promoting public health and hygiene.
