Baramulla, March 21: On the third Friday of Ramadan, the Dagger Division hosted a grand Iftar party at north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, bringing together distinguished dignitaries, local leaders, community members in a spirit of unity and brotherhood.
The event was graced by prominent figures from Baramulla district, including Touseef Raina, Rewaz Ahmed Nagoo, Dr Tarik Chalkoo, Shaikh Amir, Jubair Dar and RJ Mehak Khurshid. Also in attendance were DFO Satyendra Maurya (IFS) and Chief Agriculture Officer Yadvinder Singh.
The gathering highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between the local community, administration, and the Indian Army, reinforcing the values of peace and collective strength. Guests shared traditional Ramadan delicacies, celebrating the region’s rich cultural heritage.
Expressing gratitude, Barkat, a noted sermon preacher, said, “This Iftar Daawat embodies the true spirit of Ramadan – coming together, sharing, and supporting one another.” Youth leader Majid Wani added, “It was heartwarming to see people from diverse backgrounds join in this beautiful tradition.”
