Pencak Silat trials on Feb 7 in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jan 31: Pencak Silat Association of J&K is going to conduct the open selection trials for both boys and girls in all age groups viz Singa Macan, Pre Teen, Sub Junior Junior and Senior on February 7, 2024 at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Stadium Srinagar.
The trials would be held prior to the participation of J&K UT teams in the first All India Pencak Silat Championship scheduled to be held at Nanded in Maharashtra from February 17 to 19.
According to statement by the Association, a player should carry a valid ID proof and age proof duly recommended from his/her district head along with a parent declaration and a medical and health and insurance certificate, besides other related documents like two passport size photographs.  
“After receiving all the documents, the player is eligible for the selection trials,” it said.
Moreover, the selection trials of vacant weight categories/class or event, if any for the 7th Pencak Silat Federation Cup 2023-24 for Junior and Senior (Male and Females ) will also be held during the trials on 7th February 2024 , if anyone of the athelete, who had already played Junior National Pencak Silat Championship 2023 at Patna Bihar and Senior National Pencak Silat Championship 2023 at Nashik Maharashtra may cancel his/ her participation.
“No boarding, lodging or any transportation will be provided during the trials. Selected athletes will face the screening team of J&K Sports Council on 8th February 2024.”
“All the interested athletes are requested to kindly follow the procedure as per the rules and regulation laid down in this notice. For further details, players desirous to take part in the trials can contact Nassir Ahmad Digoo, President of the Association on 9797194893, 9622422766 or [email protected],” the statement added.
