Srinagar, Jan 26: Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian President Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi Sunday said that the Waqaf Bill in its present shape is totally unacceptable to the people of J&K.
He was addressing a big congregation here during which he threw light on the life and teachings of Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim (A.S).
As per a statement, while addressing a huge gathering of mourners, Aga Hassan paid tributes to the services rendered by Hazrat Imam Musa Kazim (A.S )for the cause of Islam and Ummah. Aga Hassan highlighted the sacrifices of the Imam for Islam and humanity which will remain in the hearts of Muslims forever.
While appraising gathering about his recent meet with the Joint Parliamentary Committee( JPC) on Waqaf Amendments Bill, Aga Hassan said he along other MMU colleagues contested various provisions of this Bill in light of Islamic Jurisprudence.
During his address Aga Hassan said “we told JPC that proposed amendments are directly violating Islamic jurisprudence and community’s interests and with the provisions this Bill is against Islamic Jurisprudence.”
