Srinagar, Jan 18: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah and vice president & Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday extended heartfelt condolences to Fayaz Kaloo, Editor-in-Chief of Greater Kashmir, whose nephew Manzoor Ahmad Baba passed away on Friday.
Dr Farooq and Omar prayed for peace to the departed soul and fortitude to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
Among others, General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Advisor to CM Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Party Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Provincial President Showkat Mir, MLAs Shameem Firdous, Mubarak Gul, Mushtaq Guroo, Ahsan Pardesi, Salman Ali Sagar, Dr Bashir Veeri, Sajjad Shaheen, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar also extended heartfelt condolences with the bereaved Kaloo and Baba families. The leaders prayed for peace to the departed soul and much-needed strength to the bereaved family members.
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and MLA Pulwama, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra in his condolence message said, “This is a tragic loss for the family and all those who knew Manzoor Ahmed Baba. My thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families during this hour of immense pain and sorrow.”
Parra prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul, saying, “May Allah grant the deceased Jannat-ul-Firdous and bestow strength upon the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.” He expressed his solidarity with the Baba and Kaloo families, adding that the PDP stands firmly with them in this difficult time.
