Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference President Sajad lone on Saturday requested authorities at the Kashmir University to have examination centres in District Kupwara.
In a post on X, Sajad lone wrote, “It is humble request to authorities at the Kashmir University to have examination centres in District Kupwara. It is the northernmost area of JK straddling the LOC.”
“Not having an examination centre is a barrier to academic excellence. Travelling 100 plus kilometres in biting cold is hardly an optimum start for exams. These are non academic hardships which impact academics and need to be removed.” he added.
“It is psychological fact that recall during exams, concentration, writing fluency are all impacted by the environment. Travelling long distances adds to academic stress and negatively impacts academic performance.”the post reads.
