Senior Superintendent of Traffic Police, Ravinder Pal Singh on Tuesday visited North Kashmir’s Bandipora district to review traffic management.

Acompanied by DySP Traffic and other officers, SSP conducted a thorough inspection of traffic management in the district.

The visit aimed to evaluate the current traffic scenario and ensure the seamless flow of traffic within the town.

During the inspection, SSP Ravinder Pal Singh addressed issues raised by transporters and assured them of prompt resolution.

Emphasizing the importance of traffic awareness, he mentioned a special drive against violations, particularly targeting triple riders, stunt bikers, and driving by minors—highlighted as significant challenges faced by the Traffic Police.

SSP Traffic, along with SO and Traffic Cops, took decisive action against hundreds of violators flouting traffic rules. The initiative received support from individuals associated with the transport sector, who shared their concerns with the SSP Traffic.

Ensuring the safety of motorists and pedestrians, the Traffic Police pledged stringent action against rash driving and other traffic violations. Motorists were advised to adhere to traffic rules, avoid speeding, refrain from racing or competing with other vehicles, abstain from mobile phone use while driving, and comply with noise regulations.

Specific guidance was extended to two-wheeler riders and were urged to wear crash helmets, avoid triple riding, and refrain from reckless and dangerous driving.

The SSP, during a walkthrough in the market, cleared footpaths occupied by shopkeepers and cautioned them of strict action against such encroachments.
