Labourer dies after falling from CUK’s under-construction building

Ganderbal, Sept 30: A tragic incident occurred at the Central University of Kashmir in Ganderbal on Monday when a 45-year-old labourer, Ramje Thakur, lost his life after falling from an under-construction building. Thakur, a resident of Bihar, was employed by NPCC company, which is overseeing the construction work at the site.
The accident took place during routine construction work, after which Thakur was immediately rushed to District Hospital Ganderbal for emergency treatment. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later referred to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura. Despite efforts made to save him, Thakur succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
