Srinagar, Jan 17: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, V.K Birdi, emphasised the paramount importance of ensuring a secure environment for religious gatherings during his visit to Chatti Patshahi Gurudwara in Rainawari.
On the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab, IGP Birdi personally inspected and reviewed the arrangements in place for devotees, reaffirming the police force’s commitment to facilitating peaceful and undisturbed observances.
Accompanied by other officers, IGP Birdi actively participated in the celebrations and later engaged with Gurudwara management, local authorities, and community leaders. The aim was to ensure seamless coordination for the comfort and safety of worshippers during the religious event.
Addressing the Sikh community present, IGP Birdi underscored the principles and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh, expressing his commitment to the peace and prosperity of the region. “I assure all of you that the administration is always at your service,” he said. “Our doors are always open for you, and we stand ready to assist during any event.”
Extending heartfelt Gurupurab wishes, IGP Birdi greeted the Sikh community, wishing for the radiant teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji to bring happiness, profound wisdom, and serene peace to their lives. He was later felicitated by the devotees at the Gurudwara.
During the visit, V.K Birdi commended the efforts of the Gurudwara committee in fostering unity and maintaining a harmonious environment. He emphasized the significance of building a strong and positive relationship between the police force and the community it serves.
Encouraging close coordination for festival celebrations, IGP Birdi urged officials to work hand-in-hand to facilitate the community and ensure a smooth and joyous festival. Additionally, he called on officials to remain readily available for the assistance of visiting devotees throughout the festivities.
