Kreeri, Aug 27:In a significant show of political strength, Janata Dal (United) held mega rallies across 14 different areas of the Kreeri Constituency on Monday. The rallies were led by JD(U) state president GM Shaheen, marking the launch of the election campaign for his wife, Rehana, who is contesting the upcoming Assembly elections from the Kreeri constituency segment.
The rallies saw an overwhelming turnout, with thousands of people from the region attending to express their support. Addressing the crowds at various locations, GM Shaheen highlighted the party’s commitment to addressing the issues faced by the people of Kreeri and vowed to bring about positive changes in the constituency.
“Our campaign is not just about winning an election; it is about transforming Kreeri into a model constituency,” Shaheen said in his address. He assured the people that if elected, Rehana would focus on improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, and job opportunities in the area.
While speaking to media GM Shaheen said that the participation of Jamaat-e-Islami in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir polls he said, “Our doors are open for Jamaat-e-Islami to contest the J&K polls,” he said, signaling JD(U)’s willingness to collaborate with various political entities in the region to ensure a unified front in the elections.
The JD(U) president’s call for inclusion reflects the party’s broader strategy of building alliances and fostering unity among different political and social groups in Jammu and Kashmir. This move is seen as a way to strengthen the party’s position in the region, especially in light of the upcoming elections.
