Jammu, Aug 17: The BJP high command has deputed its top 77 poll strategists to the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections which were announced on Friday by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Highly placed sources informed that the services of these poll strategists of the BJP are availed by the party in each election held across mostly in North Indian States.
These 77 poll strategists of the BJP include members of BJP’s National Executive, former and present ministers, former and sitting MPs, former and present spokespersons and some leaders of the RSS, who look after the party’s organizational matters.
“These 77 strategists of the BJP will reach J&K after 19th of August i.e after Rakshabandhan,” sources said, adding, “The strategists of the BJP will stay in J&K till culmination of Assembly elections”.
The sources revealed that the strategists will camp in each Assembly constituency of J&K and will strategize and finalise BJP’s election strategy in each of the 90 Assembly segments of J&K in consultation with BJP leaders.
Some of these prominent strategists who will be finalizing and shaping BJP’s election campaign and strategy in J&K are Rajinder Singh Babbu, former MLA Sujanpur (Punjab), Vipin Singh Parmar, former Speaker of Himachal Pradesh, Pawan Kajal-former MLA, HP, Ashwani Sharma, former Punjab BJP President, Shrikant Sharma, former minister UP.
On the directions of high command, the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the BJP has already started shortlisting the candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in this Union Territory.
