Sumbal, Aug 12: Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, the National Executive Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, on Monday chaired the party’s Manifesto Committee Outreach Programme in the Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The event was attended by BJP leaders Arif Raja, Engineer Aijaz Hussain, and District President of BJP Bandipora, Naseer Lone.
During the programme, 21 delegations consisting of local representatives from various sectors met with the Manifesto Committee to share their views and aspirations.
Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said the BJP is committed to grassroots politics. She highlighted the importance of the party’s extensive public outreach initiative. This programme is designed to gather insights and opinions from the people of Jammu and Kashmir to help shape the party’s future agenda and roadmap, the BJP said.
In her address, Dr Darakhshan said, “The people of J&K are actively participating in crafting the manifesto for the Bharatiya Janata Party. The party values public guidance and vision in shaping its policies and programmes.”
She expressed her satisfaction with the public’s endorsement of the BJP’s vision for peace and development, crediting Prime Minister Modi’s leadership for laying the foundation of a progressive Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Andrabi praised the leadership of Bandipora for their effective public outreach and said the manifesto will reflect the collective input and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Upon her arrival in the town, the Waqf Board Chairperson received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the local community.
