Srinagar, Aug 05: A community-driven event was held on Monday as part of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada initiative, inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
Block Development Officer (BDO) Khonmoh, Mohammad Muqsit Wani, along with dedicated staff members and local citizens, conducted a comprehensive plastic waste cleaning drive at Gurial Khonmoh, near Fossil Park.
Gurial Khonmoh, renowned for its scenic beauty, has the potential to be developed into a prominent tourist attraction. Today’s cleaning initiative aimed to preserve and enhance the area’s natural charm. The successful removal of plastic waste marks a vital step towards ensuring that this picturesque location remains a pristine environment for both locals and visitors.
