Srinagar, July 25: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) Kashmir chapter, under the leadership of its Chairman A P Vicky Shaw on Thursday called on Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo to address crucial economic and industrial concerns affecting the region.
The meeting witnessed the participation of a delegation from PHDCCI Kashmir, including Co-Chair Javaid Anim, General Convenor Bilal Kawoosa and notable Executive Committee members Haleem Bhat, Nasir Shah, Shabir Abdullah and Sajad Ahmad, the chamber said in a press release, adding that Deputy Director Iqbal Fayaz Jan, representing the organisation, was also present.
In a concerted effort to bolster economic growth and development in Jammu & Kashmir, the delegation engaged in extensive discussions with the Chief Secretary on a range of critical issues. These included strategies for enhancing tourism, supporting the MSME sector, initiatives in housing and urban development, revitalisation of handicrafts and handlooms, and the proposed launch of the Kashmir International Trade Expo in collaboration with the government.
The Chief Secretary showed keen interest and offered thoughtful insights into the concerns raised by the PHDCCI Kashmir delegation, the chamber said, adding that the meeting served as a platform for collaborative brainstorming, focusing on devising actionable plans to ensure sustainable progress and prosperity across the region.
“The PHDCCI Kashmir delegation expressed gratitude to the Chief Secretary for his valuable insights and unwavering support,” the chamber said.
