Ganderbal, Nov 23:  The Greentech Foundation orchestrated a dynamic CSR Summit and Awards from November 22-23. Spearheaded by Kamleshwar Sharan, CEO, and Chairman of Greentech Foundation, the event served as a convergence point for corporate leaders dedicated to fostering safety and environmental stewardship.
Professionals across sectors united to champion a collective vision for sustainability, emphasizing the imperative role of corporations in shaping a responsible future. The inaugural day, graced by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Javid Ahmed Rather, centered on the theme “Workplace Safety Culture,” advocating for the active promotion of safety within organizations.
Notable attendees included SDPO Kangan Dr. Muzaffar Jan, SHO Sonamarg Fayaz Ahmad, and Chief Executive Officer of Sonamarg Development Authority (CEO) Dr. Ilyas Hussain.
Throughout the summit, discussions and workshops explored practical approaches to integrating CSR into corporate frameworks, exchanging knowledge, and providing actionable insights. Keynote speakers from the private sector underscored the pivotal role of corporations in driving responsible practices.
The event culminated in the recognition of outstanding CSR initiatives, sparking healthy competition among the nearly forty corporates and public sector units present. Awardees, including Oil India Ltd, IREL, SJVN, NLC, Hindustan Unilever, Adani Port, JSW, SBI, Birla Cement, were celebrated for their impactful projects spanning marginalized communities, women empowerment, rehabilitation of the disabled, and heritage conservation.
The Greentech Foundation expressed optimism about the collective impact, anticipating significant contributions to the global dialogue on sustainability. The CSR Summit and Awards 2023 stand as a testament to the commitment of these organizations toward a socially responsible and sustainable future.
