Jammu, Feb 29: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha highlighted the shifting mindset of Jammu and Kashmir’s youth, stating that 65% of the population no longer wishes to participate in mob activities but aims to contribute to the nation-building process.
Addressing the inauguration of the ‘JK Youth Conclave 2024’, alongside the launch of ‘Inspire GenZ’ and ‘Beats of J&K’ initiatives by the Department of Information and Public Relations, LG Sinha emphasized the importance of youth empowerment and individual development.
“The J&K youth are no longer inclined towards being part of mob activities, but rather aspire to be contributors to the nation’s progress,” remarked LG Sinha, alluding to past instances of stone-pelting and hartals in the region.
Acknowledging the efforts of the Department of Information and Public Relations in engaging and inspiring the new generation, LG Sinha stressed the significance of platforms like the ‘Youth Conclave’ in shaping the region’s social, cultural, and economic landscape.
