Pulwama, Jan 02: Around 65 applicants were shortlisted by various private companies during a one-day job fair at Rahmoo village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
The job fair was organised by the District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Pulwama, at Government Higher Secondary School under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama.
Representatives from eight private companies participated in the job fair to hire unemployed youth for different job roles.
Officials revealed that a total of 270 youths turned up at the job fair. “65 participants were shortlisted for the next round, illustrating the fair’s success in linking job seekers with potential employers, ” they said.
The unemployed youth seeking jobs expressed their satisfaction with the organizers and thanked them for creating a valuable platform to interact with job providers and recruiters.
