Srinagar, Oct 01: The first Open Water Fin-swimming National Championship 2022 organized by Underwater Sports Association of- India (USAI) in collaboration with Underwater Sports Association J&K began at Water Sports Centre Nigeen Srinagar.
As per official, the event was inaugurated by KuldipPatil. Sr. General Secretary of USAI in which more than 50 participants from different parts of the country participated.
In addition to that 30 Fin Swimmers from J&K also participated events including 150 Meters Bi-Fins and Mono Fins boys and girls were held.
MohsinFayaz Shah, Mohammad Daaib, MadhavDaudiya, Bhavya Mehta, Nabila Khan, Zoobiya Tariq, Sheikh Momin Bin Tariq, Shreya Daudiya, Hetvitalajiya, Hashmatullah Shah has won gold medals in different events and age categories.
The Championships was held under the supervision of following Technical Officials from Underwater Sports Association of India Santosh Kumar, Deshmukh, Edna Sharma, Zahid Iqbal.
While giving details about the said championship event coordinator Ahsan Ali said 1 km and 3 km events will be held tomorrow before the prize cum closing ceremony.
He also presented a vote of thanks to the Department of Tourism Kashmir, Health, and Officials of Swim N Survival Society-K.
