Ganderbal, Aug27: A young man met a tragic end as he slipped and fell to his death while walking in the forested terrain of Baba Nagri Wangath area in Kangan, located in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. The incident occurred on Sunday, according to official sources.
The victim was identified as Mohd Amjid Raina, son of Mohd Amain Raina and a resident of Baba Nagri Wangat. Mohd Amjid Raina had ventured towards the higher reaches of the forest area in Babanagri to tend to his livestock. Tragically, he lost his balance and fell from the mountains, resulting in immediate fatality.
Local authorities and the police were promptly informed of the incident. Both officials and locals swiftly arrived at the scene to recover the young man’s body. The body was then transported back to his residence for the final rites.
