SRINAGAR, AUG 25: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Sunday addressed the Convocation Ceremony of BabasahebBhimraoAmbedkar Bihar University in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where he called upon graduating students to adopt a positive mindset and the courage to aim higher in life.
The event was presided over by Arif Mohammed Khan Governor of Bihar. Senior university officials including Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. Samir Kumar Sharma, Registrar, were also present along with faculty and students.
In his address, the Lieutenant Governor congratulated the graduating class, faculty members, and the university administration, while extending his best wishes to the students for their future endeavors.
“A convocation is not just the end of one chapter, but the beginning of a new journey. Professional experiences ahead will equip you with different skill sets, and life will remain a continuous process of learning,” he said.
Highlighting the importance of personal growth and resilience, LG Sinha urged students to stay curious and never stop learning.
“Challenges are essential in shaping character, honesty, and integrity. Our culture values discovery as a true achievement, and that spirit must live on beyond the classroom,” he noted.
He emphasized that optimism and courage are the two most important qualities young people must develop to overcome adversity and seize opportunities in today’s rapidly changing world.
Paying tribute to Bihar’s historical and intellectual heritage, the Lieutenant Governor praised the contributions of the state’s revolutionaries, reformers, and thought leaders.
“After a long time, Bihar is reclaiming its intellectual and cultural glory. A strong, modern, and progressive Bihar will play a key role in building a Viksit Bharat,” he stated.
He called on the youth to commit themselves to making Bihar and India “number one” through innovation, self-reliance, and nation-building.
The LG also congratulated the women students who received gold medals for academic excellence, lauding their achievements as a reflection of the strength and potential of Nari Shakti.
“Our daughters are breaking barriers and excelling in every field. Their success is a matter of pride for the university, for Bihar, and for the entire nation,” he said.
The ceremony concluded with applause for the graduates and recognition of the university’s growing role in nurturing the next generation of leaders and innovators.
