Baramulla, Oct 19: The ongoing UT-level Inter-District Yoga Competition for all age groups, both boys and girls, at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Baramulla witnessed the conclusion of the Under-17 Boys competition on Saturday.
A total of 15 districts from across Jammu & Kashmir participated in this prestigious event.
In a remarkable display of skill and dedication, the yoga athletes from District Baramulla emerged as the winners of the competition, showcasing their excellence in various categories. District Jammu secured the runner-up position, both teams receiving trophies for their commendable performances.
The competition, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K and hosted by DYSSO Baramulla, has brought together top talent from across the Union Territory, fostering sportsmanship and holistic development among the youth.
Speaking on the occasion, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Baramulla, congratulated the winning teams and expressed pride in the achievements of Baramulla’s athletes. He also highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being among the youth.
The competition will continue with the Under-19 Boys category, scheduled to begin tomorrow. Teams from various districts are expected to participate, adding to the excitement and competitive spirit of the event.
