UT admin fields strong contingent for All India Civil Services Cricket Tournament

Srinagar, Dec 14: In an enthusiastic move, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a formidable 20-member deputation to represent the region in the upcoming All India Civil Services Cricket Tournament (AICSCT) set to kick off Friday in New Delhi.
As per GAD order, the participating officers include distinguished names such as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Shaleen Kabra from Jal Shakti Department and Director General Budget, Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Yaqoob Itoo.
The tournament, scheduled from December 15 to December 21, 2023, is expected to witness spirited competition among civil service officers from across the country.
Among the other officers and officials selected to showcase their cricketing skills are Principal Secretary to Lieutenant Governor Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari, Secretary to the Government, Transport Department Prassana Ramaswamy, Joint Director Budget, Finance Department Shafat Yehya, Chief Accounts Officer, Animal Husbandry Department Naseer Rather.
Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Department Samiullah Beigh, OSD Mission Youth Murtaza Rashid, Under Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department Niyamtullah, Block Development Officer RDD Aamir Ashraf, Block Development Officer RDD Kapil Deol, Assistant Director, Higher Education Department Nadeem Dar, Inspector State Taxes Samiullah Malik.
The squad includes Teacher, School Education Department Abdul Qayoom, W&W Man, Legislative Assembly, Jammu Wasim Baba, Nursing Orderly, Directorate of Health Services Jammu Abhinav Khajuria, Animal & Sheep Husbandry Department Akhil Salthia, Incharge Cricket Affairs & Media, J&K Sports Council Mubashir Hassan, Manager Mohsin Tramboo, and Coach Naveen Sharma.
The selected officers and officials have been directed to manage their work responsibilities through online mode during the deputation period, ensuring a seamless balance between professional commitments and sporting spirit.
The participation of the Jammu and Kashmir contingent is anticipated to add a competitive edge to the AICSCT and promote camaraderie among civil service officers through the medium of cricket.
