Srinagar, Nov 6: Right-arm leg-spinner Ritvik Jaitley took a 5-wicket haul, while wicketkeeper/batsman Rydham Sharma and off-spinning all-rounder Udhay Partap Singh scored big fifties as the battle for the first innings lead continued on day-2 of Under-19 Boys Cooch Behar Trophy match between Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh at SK Stadium, here on Sunday.
J&K were 200/8 in 50 overs in reply to Himachal Pradesh’s 255 in the first innings, thus 55 runs short of crucial first innings lead with 2 wickets in hand.
Rydham Sharma (85) and Toheed (6) were at the crease at the draw of stumps today.
J&K lost first four wickets for just 20 runs with Asrar (0), skipper Arya Thakur (9), Akshit Gandral (4) and Mousub Mohd Bhat (4) back to the dressing room, before Udhay Partap Singh and Rydham Sharma salvaged the sinking ship and took the score to 200 runs. Udhay scored 63 runs off 92 balls, studded with 10 boundaries, while Rydham was unbeaten with 85 runs off 114 balls with the help of 13 fours.
For Himachal Pradesh, medium pacer Chirag M Sharma took 4 wickets by conceding 46 runs in his 13 overs, while Praval S Singh, Rishit N Thakur and Daksh N Narayan claimed one wicket each.

Apart from skipper Innesh (85) and Animesh (53) yesterday, Chirag M Sharma (41) and Praval S Singh (30*) were the main contributors today.
For J&K, Ritvik Jaitley was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 wickets by conceding 52 in 23.2 overs, while off-spinner Udhay Partap Singh bagged 2 wickets. Left-arm spinner Ranjot Singh and medium pacer Toheed Ahmed claimed one wicket each.
