Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Budgam Police have arrested 02 drug peddlers and recovered Psychotropic substance from their possession.
A Police spokesperson said, “During Naka checking at Drigam, Police party of Police Station Khansahib intercepted one vehicle (Maruti) bearing registration No. JK01F- 6877, upon preliminary questioning the driver disclosed his name as Shabir Ahmad Choupan @ Shabir Dembali S/O Gh Ahmad Choupan R/O Dembal Chadoora and his accomplice as Irshad Ahmad Rather S/O Mohd Ayuoob Rather R/O Dadompora Chadoora. During the search of said vehicle 490 gms of charas like substance was recovered.”
“Both the accused have been arrested and vehicle used for commission of crime has also been seized”, he said.
Police said that Case FIR No. 95/023 under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Khansahib and investigation taken up.
