Srinagar, Dec 21: Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo Wednesday said that the ‘Tree Talk Initiative’ founded by Dr. OP Sharma Vidyarthi, a retired IFoS officer & Former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests(FCCP) J & K — is emerging as a green campaign for environmental awareness, education and biodiversity awareness cum exploration.
He said that the ‘initiative’ has been phenomenal since its inception in 2010 in promoting environmental education and awareness, environmental health, biodiversity conservation, cultivation of plants; more importantly exploring vast varieties of plant species having great human value and economic potential” he said.
He said that the Founder of such initiative deserves applauds for his utmost dedication towards such noble cause and successfully completing 12 years of it; adding that to persuade and sensitize our current generation towards environmental conservation and biodiversity exploration, these initiatives need to be frequently endorsed and supported.
