Srinagar, March 01: As per the communication received from the office of Managing Director JKPTCL, general public is informed that due to development of a technical snag in one 20MVA,132/ 33KV Power Transformer today at Grid station Amargarh has resulted in reduction of its capacity from 135MVA to 120MVA.

This reduction in capacity will have a total load impact of 18MW resulting in enforcement of additional distress cuts of 60 minutes on all the outgoing feeders of the Grid station by rotation to the areas being fed through the station with immediate effect.

The areas effected include Sopore, Rafiabad, Nowpora, Sidco, Arampora and adjoining areas.
Meanwhile, a new 80 MVA Power transformers is already under commissioning at the Grid station Amargarh which is expected to be put in to service within minimum possible time. The inconvenience due to these additional power cuts is regretted.
