The Sub Divisional Magistrate, Gulmarg, released a circular asking for checks on the selling and usage of crude water boilers and heaters, owing to the increase in load shedding and unscheduled power cuts.
Assistant Executive Engineer KPDCL Special Sub Division Tangmarg, Junaid Ahmad Mir, told the Rising Kashmir that a circular has issuedby Sub Divisional Magistrate Gulmarg which reads as, “It has come to the notice of the undersigned that crude boilers/ heaters are being sold in the market to the people and use of such crude boilers/ heaters waste the energy, thereby increases the load shedding and unscheduled power cuts.”
“We are also going to carry out surprise checks of the markets in order to check the sale and use of crude boilers and heaters by the shopkeepers and consumers,” he said.
Er Junaid said consumers should avoid using heaters and boilers in their homes, and shopkeepers should also avoid selling these kinds of items in the markets.Adding that, as it has been banned now in all areas.
The circular said that the Tehsildars and SHOs concerned would “render full support to the Department in this regard.”
