Kishtwar, Apr 28: Students of Aashiana Boys Hostel, Kishtwar visited the Power House of NHPC Dulhasti Power Station on Friday, as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. The visit was organised in association with 26RR (KUMAON) Regiment.
Surendra Kumar Mishra, General Manager (Electrical) and Amarjeet Singh, Senior Manager (Electrical) guided the students on their visit to the control room, machine gallery and various other components of the powerhouse and also gave detailed information about the electricity generation and powerhouse operation.
Mishra met the students in the conference hall at Power House and took feedback about their experience of the Power House visit. In his address, he made the children aware of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav programme and informed about the contribution being made by Dulhasti Power Station in the development of the local area and the country along with electricity generation. He encouraged the students to study with full devotion and dedication and to participate enthusiastically in sports competitions also. At the conclusion of the program, Mishra distributed gifts to students as encouragement.
On this occasion, Dhurav Verma, Commanding Officer, 26RR (KUMAON), Ashok Kumar Dhanwal, Senior Manager (HR), and teachers of Aashiana Boys Hostel Including officers and employees of Dulhasti Power Station were present.
