Ganderbal, Aug 14: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) sportsground at Tullamulla came alive as the Alumni of the Department of Physical Education squared off against the department’s current students in a football match. The game began with both sides showing remarkable skill and competitive spirit. The Alumni took the early advantage, scoring twice in the first half while conceding only one goal to the students, heading into halftime with a 2-1 lead. However, the second half saw a turnaround. The current students returned to the field with determination, dominating possession and launching relentless attacks. Their cohesive teamwork and sharp finishing saw them net four goals in the second half, sealing a comprehensive 5-2 victory over the Alumni. Dr. Kaukab Azeem, Dr. Abdul Roof Rather, Dr. Mohammad Muqaram, and Dr. Prathepa C. S., were present on the occasion. Dr. Mohammad Muzamil Shah, captain of the current student football team, lifted the winner’s trophy.
